In modern lifestyle, we are constantly overwhelmed and forget about self-care. While I was in the corporate world, I never checked in my daily energy level and paced myself. The extrinsic motivation asked me to push through. Not until I experienced so much neck and back pain, I stopped. I did't feel nourish and I was in the middle of nowhere.
Practicing yoga gives me time to listen to my body and respect mind-body connection. Yoga movement helps build physical strength. Inner strength and clarity of mind come along the way. It may be a bumpy road to travel to your heart. Embrace it and find out what truly matters. |
